Merrimac is a small Massachusetts town just over the NH border, tucked between Haverhill and Amesbury. Quick note for callers: this is Merrimac the town, not Merrimack the river or the bigger NH town with a "k" on the end.

Merrimac is a small Essex County town of about 6,500 people, sitting just south of the New Hampshire state line between Haverhill and Amesbury. The historic town center is compact, the housing stock leans toward older capes and colonials with a stretch of newer development on the edges, and most of the streets feed back to Route 110 or Route 113.
Worth flagging because the names get mixed up: Merrimac, MA is a different place from Merrimack, NH. We're talking about the small Essex County town here, the one about 18 miles southeast of our Fremont yard, roughly a 30-minute drive.
All four roll-off sizes are available: 10-yard for tight driveways and small remodels, 15 for medium projects, 20 for full-house cleanouts and roof tear-offs, and 30 for contractor and demo work. We also do full-service junk removal for jobs where you'd rather have us handle the loading.
Driveways in the older town-center streets can be on the shorter side. If you've got a tighter spot, the 10 or 15 usually does the trick. Send us a photo if you're not sure what'll fit.
Merrimac is laid out around a compact town center near West Main Street, with the small downtown anchored by the church and a few storefronts. Lake Attitash sits in the southwest part of town, with year-round homes and seasonal places mixed around the shoreline. The residential streets work back from the center in a mix of older capes and colonials, with some newer development on the edges out toward the Amesbury and West Newbury lines. Route 110 runs east-west across the south part of town toward Amesbury and Haverhill, and Route 113 cuts through the north side. I-495 is just a short hop away for the run back up to the NH border, which is the route we take from Fremont.
Common dumpster and junk-removal jobs in Merrimac include full-house cleanouts when a property changes hands, garage and basement cleanouts after years of accumulation, kitchen and bathroom renovations in the older homes near the town center, and roof tear-offs on the residential streets. Single-item pickups come in too, for old fridges, water heaters, washers and dryers, or a hot tub someone wants gone. Lake-area properties around Lake Attitash sometimes call in for cleanouts when a place changes hands or when a longtime owner is moving on. Estate cleanouts come up too. Shed, deck, and above-ground pool demos come up through the warmer months.
Merrimac is a longer haul from our Fremont yard than the NH towns just south of us, but the four sizes run the same out there. For a bathroom remodel or a single-room cleanout, a 10-yard usually does the job and fits the tighter driveways in the town center. A 15-yard is the right call for a kitchen or a mid-size cleanout. Full-house cleanouts, roof tear-offs on a typical two-story, and most renovations work best in a 20-yard. For additions, larger demos, or contractor jobs running heavier debris, the 30-yard is the safer call if the driveway has the room.
How far ahead should I book? Usually the next day works. Mondays book up fastest since weekend orders come in then, so if you're aiming for a Monday delivery it helps to call by Friday.
Can you put the dumpster on the lawn? Usually yes. If you'd like boards under the wheels to protect the grass and the edge of the driveway, mention it when you call and we'll bring some.
Do you cover Amesbury and Haverhill too? Yes. Both are right next door and we run them out of the same Fremont yard. If you've got a multi-property cleanout that spans the line, just give us all the addresses and we'll figure out the order.
