— 15-yard dumpster

15-Yard Dumpster Rental in Southern New Hampshire.

The middle-sized option, and often the right one when the 10 feels tight but the 20 feels like overkill. Roughly four-and-a-half pickup loads of capacity, with walls tall enough for bulky stuff.

Good fit for

  • Flooring tear-out across multiple rooms
  • Kitchen demolition (cabinets, countertops, appliances)
  • Garage cleanout that's been building for a decade
  • Medium-sized roof job, single layer on an average-sized house
  • Multi-room cleanout that doesn't include big furniture
  • Mid-size flooring or trim tear-out with backer board

Why people pick the 15 over the 10

Usually because they started a project and realized halfway through they had more than expected. We hear the same line a lot: "I thought a 10 would do it." The 15 is the hedge. If your project is anywhere close to the line, the 15 is the safe play.

Where the 15 might not work

If you're doing a tear-off on a larger roof, or a full-house cleanout with furniture, the volume runs out fast. Look at the 20.

What Fits in a 15-Yard Dumpster

Fifteen cubic yards is four to five heaped pickup loads. In practice that is a full kitchen gut with the cabinets, counters, appliances and flooring, or two to three rooms cleared out, or a 300 square foot deck taken off the back of the house with the framing.

The 15 is the size most people should be looking at for a re-roof. The ton and a half covers about twelve squares of single-layer three-tab, which is most ranches and capes in this area. If the crew is tearing off two layers, count the squares twice and talk to us before you book.

It is also the size that absorbs a bad estimate. A 10 that turns out to be too small means a second haul and a second trip charge. The extra five yards here is cheaper than being wrong.

Should You Rent a 15-Yard or a 20-Yard Dumpster?

The 15 and the 20 are the two sizes people genuinely agonise over, and the honest answer is that it comes down to driveway length. The 15 sits on 12 feet. The 20 needs 14, plus room for the truck to tilt the box up on delivery, which wants a good 45 feet of clear run in total. On a short suburban drive with a car parked behind it, that is the whole decision.

On capacity, the step up is five cubic yards and half a ton. That is about one extra pickup load. If your project is a kitchen, the 15 handles it. If it is a kitchen plus everything in the basement you have been meaning to deal with, look at the 20-yard.

Going the other way, the 10-yard takes the exact same footprint as the 15, so dropping down a size buys you nothing in space. Only go smaller if the load is genuinely small or genuinely heavy.

15-Yard Dumpster Rental in Southern NH Towns

The 15 is the size we deliver most often, and the spread below is the reason: it is the container that suits a mid-1900s cape or ranch being re-roofed or re-floored, which is most of the housing stock between Exeter and Londonderry. All 92 towns get it out of Fremont.

Your town will be on the full list of 92 even if it is not above. Tell us the street address at booking and we will confirm the run and whether the 15 or the 20 suits the spot you have in mind.

15-Yard Dumpster Rental Questions

What fits in a 15-yard dumpster?

A 15-yard holds roughly a flooring pull, a kitchen demo, a full garage, or a mid-size basement. It takes the same 12 by 8 feet of driveway as the 10-yard tier, so stepping up buys you allowance rather than costing you space. If you describe what you are clearing out we will tell you honestly whether the 15 is the right call or whether you want a different size.

Will a 15-yard dumpster fit in my driveway?

If a 10-yard fits, this does. Both sit on 12 by 8 feet of ground at 6 feet tall, so the truck approach, the overhead clearance and the room you need to leave are identical. Watch the overhead wires and low branches, and send a photo if you are unsure.

How much does a 15-yard dumpster rental cost?

It depends on your address and how long you keep it. The booking system on the pricing page gives you a real number for the 15-yard at your address in about a minute, with delivery, pickup, and the 1.5 tons allowance already inside it. Or call 603-634-9947 and we will quote it on the phone.

What is the weight limit on a 15-yard dumpster?

1.5 tons, and that allowance is included in the price rather than added on after. Anything past it is billed per ton. Heavy material fills the weight before it fills the box, so if you are loading shingles, plaster, brick, or wet drywall into the 15-yard, say so when you book and we will size the job for weight instead of volume.

How long can I keep a 15-yard dumpster?

Standard rental is seven days, which is what a kitchen or a two-room clear-out usually takes. The 15 is the size most often booked around a weekend of demolition followed by a week of hauling out, and that fits inside the standard term. Tell us at booking if the job runs longer and we will set it up extended from the start.

Is the 15-yard the right size for my project?

The 15 is the default answer for a reason: it covers a kitchen, a re-roof on a cape, or two rooms cleared out, which is most of what people call us about. It is the wrong pick when the load is dense rather than bulky. Shingles with a second layer under them, tile and mortar, or anything masonry will hit the ton and a half before the box looks full.

Do I need a permit for a 15-yard dumpster?

Not on a driveway. The 15-yard sits on the same 12 by 8 footprint as the 10, so anywhere the smaller box fits without reaching the right-of-way, this one does too. Street placement is the only case that needs your town office involved.

What towns do you deliver the 15-yard to?

All 92, and the 15 is the one we deliver most. Exeter, Kingston, Hooksett, Londonderry and Hampstead come up most often, which tracks with the mid-century capes and ranches in those towns getting re-roofed and re-floored. Everything runs out of Fremont.

Should I rent a 15-yard dumpster or book junk removal?

A 15-yard makes sense when the work is spread across days, which is what a kitchen or a multi-room clear-out usually looks like. Junk removal makes more sense when the material is already piled and the job is one afternoon of carrying. If your driveway cannot take a 12 foot container at all, the crew route is the one that still works.
