Laconia is the Lakes Region hub on Lake Winnipesaukee, and it's the northernmost town in our service area. We cover it from our Fremont yard, about an hour and 15 minutes south.
All four roll-off sizes plus full-service junk removal — out of the Fremont yard.
Laconia sits in the heart of New Hampshire's Lakes Region, with Lake Winnipesaukee right at Weirs Beach and the Belknap Mall area anchoring the commercial side of town. Every June the town hosts Motorcycle Week, one of the largest motorcycle rallies in the country. Outside of that, Laconia is a mix of lakeside seasonal homes, year-round residential neighborhoods, and a working downtown.
From our Fremont yard, Laconia is about 50 miles north. It's the farthest town in our service area, roughly an hour and 15 minutes on a clear day.
All four roll-off sizes are available in Laconia: 10-yard for small projects and tight driveways, 15 for medium jobs, 20 for full-house cleanouts and roof tear-offs, and 30 for contractor and demo work. We also do full-service junk removal for cleanouts where you'd rather we handle the loading.
Lakeside lots near Weirs Beach can be on the tighter side, especially the seasonal cottages. Send us a photo of the spot and we'll tell you what'll fit.
Laconia is built around Lake Winnipesaukee, Paugus Bay, and Opechee Bay, with downtown sitting between the bays and the residential neighborhoods spreading out from there. Weirs Beach has the older lake cottages, the boardwalk area, and a mix of year-round and seasonal housing. The city neighborhoods closer to downtown have Capes, Colonials, and older multi-families on tighter lots, and the streets out toward Gilford and Belmont open up into bigger residential parcels. Lakeside access roads can be narrow, sandy, or steep depending on when the cottage was built, and some of the older lake-area driveways are short and shared. The downtown side has standard city streets with normal driveways. A photo of the spot helps before delivery, especially for any of the lake-area drops.
Common dumpster and junk-removal jobs in Laconia include cottage cleanouts when a lake property changes hands, roof tear-offs on the year-round residential housing, and full-house cleanouts in the city neighborhoods. The older cottages around Paugus Bay and Opechee Bay sometimes call in for seasonal cleanouts or interior renovations. Garage, basement, and attic cleanouts come up across the year-round housing. Estate cleanouts come up too. Shed, deck, and above-ground pool demos come up through the warmer months, along with hot tubs and old campers. For larger contractor jobs, like additions, renovations, or new builds, a 20-yard parked for the week is usually the right size, and a 30 if the project is a full gut.
Laconia is one of our longer reaches from the Fremont yard. We don't run up that way every week, but the four sizes work the same. For a single room or a garage corner, the 10-yard is usually the right size. For a roof on an average house or a full garage, the 15 or 20 is the better pick. Full house cleanouts where every room is going usually call for the 20-yard, and the 30 is for big demo jobs or full contractor renovations. On the lake-cottage side, the 10 or 15 is usually the size that fits the access road.
Do you really come out this far? Yes. We're based in Fremont and most of our work is closer in, but we run up to Laconia when the job's booked. The drive time doesn't change the rental price.
Can you get a roll-off down a lake-area access road? Depends on the road. A lot of the Weirs Beach and Paugus Bay cottage roads are narrow, sandy, or have low tree branches. Send us a photo of the road and the drop spot and we'll tell you what'll fit. If the road is too tight, junk removal where we bring the truck and load it ourselves can be the better option.
How long can I keep the dumpster? Standard rental is seven days. If you need it longer, let us know when you book and we'll work it out.
