Groveland is a small Massachusetts town across the NH border, tucked along the Merrimack River between Haverhill and Newburyport. We cover it out of our Fremont yard, about 40 minutes south-southeast.
All four roll-off sizes plus full-service junk removal — out of the Fremont yard.
Groveland is a small Essex County town of about 6,800 people, sitting on the south bank of the Merrimack River between Haverhill and Newburyport. It's mostly residential with some farmland out toward the southern part of town, a compact town center, and quiet streets stretching back from the river.
From our Fremont yard it's about 22 miles south-southeast, roughly 40 minutes via Route 125 and across the Haverhill bridges. Groveland covers older homes near the river and newer residential developments away from the center.
All four roll-off sizes: 10-yard for small jobs and tight driveways, 15 for medium projects, 20 for full-house cleanouts and roof tear-offs, and 30 for contractor and demo work. We also do full-service junk removal for jobs where you'd rather not load a container yourself.
Most Groveland driveways have room for any size we run. If you've got a tighter spot or a stone wall close to the placement area, mention it when you call and we'll plan around it.
Groveland sits on the south bank of the Merrimack between Haverhill and West Newbury, with the river forming the northern edge of town. Main Street and King Street run through the center, with most of the local traffic on Route 113 along the south side. Pentucket Pond sits in the southern part of town, with year-round homes around the shoreline and a quieter back-roads feel. The town center is compact, with a few stores and the older residential streets working back from the river. Newer developments sit farther from the center, with longer driveways and more setback. Route 113 runs east-west along the south side of the river toward West Newbury, and Route 97 cuts south through town toward Georgetown. From our Fremont yard we come in across the Haverhill bridges on Route 125.
Common dumpster and junk-removal jobs in Groveland include full-house cleanouts when a property changes hands, garage and basement cleanouts after years of accumulation, kitchen and bathroom renovations in the older homes near the river, and roof tear-offs across the residential streets. Single-item pickups come in too, for old fridges, water heaters, washers and dryers, or a hot tub someone wants gone. Properties around Pentucket Pond sometimes call in for cleanouts when a place changes hands. Estate cleanouts come up when a longtime owner is moving on. Shed, deck, and above-ground pool demos come up through the warmer months.
Groveland is a longer drive from our Fremont yard than the NH towns just south of us, but we run the same four sizes across the river. For a bathroom remodel or a single-room cleanout, a 10-yard usually does the job. A 15-yard is the right size for a kitchen or a mid-size cleanout. Full-house cleanouts, roof tear-offs on a typical two-story, and most renovations work best in a 20-yard, and most Groveland driveways have room for one. For additions, larger demos, or contractor jobs running heavier debris, the 30-yard is the safer call.
How far ahead should I book? Usually the next day works. Mondays book up fastest since weekend orders come in then, so if you're aiming for a Monday delivery it helps to call by Friday.
Can you put the dumpster on the lawn? Usually yes. If you'd like boards under the wheels to protect the grass and the edge of the driveway, mention it when you call and we'll bring some.
Do you take appliances and old water heaters? Yes. Fridges and AC units have a small fee for the freon handling at the transfer station, and mattresses have a small per-item fee. What we can't take is wet paint, motor oil, asbestos, dirt or gravel, or organic wood and yard waste.
