Ballardvale is a village in the southern part of Andover, Massachusetts, set along the Shawsheen River. We cover it from our Fremont yard.
All four roll-off sizes plus full-service junk removal — out of the Fremont yard.
Ballardvale is a historic mill village inside the town of Andover, with a small commuter rail stop on the Haverhill Line and a tight grid of older homes near the river. The neighborhood mixes restored 19th-century houses with newer infill, and most of it sits between the Shawsheen River and Andover Street.
From our Fremont yard, Ballardvale is about 25 miles south, mostly down I-93.
All four roll-off sizes are available in Ballardvale: 10-yard for small projects and tight driveways, 15 for medium jobs, 20 for full-house cleanouts and roof tear-offs, and 30 for contractor and demo work. We also do full-service junk removal for cleanouts where you'd rather we handle the loading.
The older streets near the river have short driveways and tight setbacks. The 10 or 15 is usually the right call there. If you're not sure what'll fit, send us a photo and we'll tell you.
Ballardvale sits along the Shawsheen River as a village inside Andover, with the commuter rail station near the middle and Andover Street carrying most of the through traffic. The residential streets fan out from the old mill core, mixing restored 19th-century houses with newer infill homes. The lots closer to the river tend to be narrower with shorter driveways, while the streets that pull away from the village center open up a little. Access is the thing to watch in Ballardvale, especially on the older streets where you might be working with a stone wall, a tight curb cut, or a fence line right up to the driveway. Send us a photo and we'll talk through what size and placement makes sense before we leave the yard.
Common dumpster and junk-removal jobs in Ballardvale include kitchen and bath remodel debris in the older village homes, basement cleanouts after a long-time owner moves on, and roof tear-offs where a 15 or 20 fits the driveway. Estate cleanouts come up too, and for those we'll usually run a junk-removal crew instead of a roll-off so we can sort and haul without leaving a container on a tight street. Shed and deck demos come up through the warmer months. For larger contractor jobs, like additions, renovations, or new builds, a 20-yard parked for the week is usually the right size. Single-item pickups, like a couch or an old water heater, are fine too.
Ballardvale is a longer drive from our Fremont yard than our NH towns, but we run the same four sizes across the line. The 10 fits a garage or a smaller cleanout in a tight village driveway. A full basement, an average roof tear-off, or a kitchen plus a bath usually lands in the 15-to-20 range. The 30 is best for additions and contractor-driven projects where the site has room to take it. If your driveway is short or the street is narrow, we'll usually steer toward the 10 or 15 and swap if you need a second pull.
Do you really come out this far? Yes. Ballardvale is one of our Massachusetts service-area towns. The Fremont yard is about 25 miles up, so it's a longer haul than our NH towns, but we run it the same way.
Can you put the dumpster on the lawn? Usually yes. If you'd like boards under the wheels, mention it when you call and we'll bring some.
Do you cover Andover too? Yes. Ballardvale is a village inside Andover, and we cover the rest of Andover from the same yard.
