Atkinson is a quiet residential town between Plaistow and Salem on the south end of the state. We cover it from our Fremont yard, about 25 minutes away.
All four roll-off sizes plus full-service junk removal — out of the Fremont yard.
Atkinson is one of the quieter residential towns in this stretch of southern New Hampshire. It sits between Plaistow and Salem and has a low-key suburban feel, mostly single-family homes on streets that wind out from the town center.
From Fremont, Atkinson is about 15 miles south, roughly 25 minutes on a clear day.
All four roll-off sizes are available in Atkinson: 10-yard for small projects, 15 for mid-size work, 20 for full-house cleanouts and roof tear-offs, and 30 for contractor and demo jobs. We also do full-service junk removal when you'd rather we did the loading.
Most Atkinson driveways are deep enough for any size we run. If you have a spot in mind and aren't sure how it'll fit, send us a photo.
Most of our Atkinson stops are off Main Street, Route 121, and Route 111, with deliveries spread out into the residential streets that branch off them. The Big Island Pond shore on the northeast side of town has a tighter, lake-cottage feel, and the streets that lead down to the water can be narrower than the rest of Atkinson. Island Pond, on the north side, has its own cluster of waterfront streets. The area around the country club and the streets working back toward the town center are mostly single-family homes on comfortable lots. Outside of those pockets, Atkinson feels rural-residential, with long driveways and wooded back lots. If you're on one of the narrower lake-area roads or working close to a stone wall, let us know when you call and we'll plan the placement.
Common dumpster and junk-removal jobs in Atkinson include roof tear-offs, garage and basement cleanouts, kitchen and bath remodels, and the usual single-item appliance pickups. Estate cleanouts come up when ownership changes hands, especially around the older homes near the town center and the lake-area properties around Big Island Pond. Shed, deck, and above-ground pool demos come up through the warmer months once people start clearing back yards. For larger contractor jobs, like additions, renovations, or new builds, a 20-yard parked for the week is usually the right size. Junk removal calls come in for hot tubs, old playsets, and workshop cleanouts where the homeowner would rather not load a container themselves.
Atkinson is a regular reach for us out of the Fremont yard. For a single room cleanout or a small bath remodel, a 10-yard is usually the right size. A 15-yard handles a kitchen tear-out or a mid-sized garage clearout. The 20-yard is the most common size we drop in Atkinson, since it covers full-house cleanouts and most residential roof tear-offs without a second swap. The 30-yard comes out for new construction, larger renovations, and bigger demo work where the volume is the main concern. If you're on a tighter lake-area lot near Big Island Pond, the 10-yard or 15-yard tends to sit better.
How long can I keep the dumpster? Standard rental is seven days. If you need an extra day or two, we can usually work that out. Anything longer and we'll need to talk about pickup timing so we can keep the box on the route.
Can you put the dumpster on the lawn? Usually yes. If you'd like boards under the wheels to protect the grass and the edge of the driveway, mention it when you call and we'll bring some.
Do you take appliances and old water heaters? Yes. Fridges and AC units have a small fee for the freon handling at the transfer station, and mattresses have a small per-item fee. What we can't take is wet paint, motor oil, asbestos, dirt or gravel, or organic wood and yard waste.
