Durham is a town of about 15,000, with the UNH campus dominating the center, a compact downtown along Main Street, and residential neighborhoods stretching out toward the river and Great Bay. Route 4 runs through the southern edge of town and connects out to the Spaulding Turnpike.
From our Fremont yard, Durham is about 20 miles northeast.

Durham is built around the UNH campus and the compact downtown along Main Street, with Route 108 running north toward Madbury and Route 4 along the southern edge. The Oyster River cuts through town and shapes a lot of the older residential streets. Mill Road and the side streets off Main have the older Federal and Colonial stock, some of it well-preserved and some of it carrying student housing close to campus. The neighborhoods stretching out toward Great Bay and the rural roads on the edges of town have more breathing room and larger lots. Driveway space near campus can be tight, with shared driveways or on-street parking limits, and a photo of the spot helps before delivery. Farther out, most driveways have plenty of room for any size we run.
Common dumpster and junk-removal jobs in Durham include full-house cleanouts when a property changes hands, roof tear-offs, and garage and basement cleanouts. Rental and student-housing turnover brings in cleanout work too, when a unit gets cleared out between leases. The older Federal and Colonial homes near Main Street and Mill Road bring in renovation debris when interiors get reworked. Estate cleanouts come up when ownership changes hands. Shed, deck, and above-ground pool demos come up through the warmer months, along with hot tubs. For larger contractor jobs, like additions, renovations, or new builds, a 20-yard parked for the week is usually the right size, and a 30 if the project is a full gut.
Durham is one of our longer NH stops from the Fremont yard, but the four sizes run the same. For a single room or a garage corner, the 10-yard is usually the right size. For a roof on an average house or a full garage, the 15 or 20 is the better pick. Full house cleanouts where every room is going usually call for the 20-yard, and the 30 is for big demo or contractor jobs. Will a roll-off fit on the older streets near campus? Depends on the driveway. Some of the older streets around Main and Mill have narrow or shared driveways. The 10 is usually the size that fits. If even the 10 doesn't fit, junk removal where we load the truck ourselves can be the better option.
Can you put the dumpster on the lawn? Usually yes. If you'd like boards under the wheels, mention it when you call and we'll bring some. The 10 and 15 sit easier on grass than the bigger sizes.
How long can I keep the dumpster? Standard rental is seven days. If you need it longer, let us know when you book and we'll work it out.
