Basement Cleanouts Across Southern NH.

Whether it's old furniture nobody wants, boxes you haven't opened since you moved in, or a washer that died eight years ago, we'll bring the people who can carry it up the stairs.

What basement jobs look like.

Most southern NH basements we clear come stocked with a similar set: a couch or sectional from a previous house, plastic bins of holiday decorations stacked four deep, old paint cans on a shelf, college-era furniture nobody's sat on in twenty years, and the exercise bike with laundry hanging off it. After the obvious stuff is gone, you start running into the harder calls. What's tucked behind the water heater, whether that old crib is worth saving, what's actually in those file boxes.

Water-damaged or moldy items.

Most basements have seen at least a little water at some point, which usually shows up as soft cardboard, furniture with water lines, or old carpet that's seen better decades. Light water damage on furniture and boxes is fine for us to haul. Active mold, standing water, or sewage involvement is a different story, that's a remediation job that has to happen first before any cleanout crew should be working in there.

Furniture and appliances.

Basements are where old washers, dryers, water heaters, dehumidifiers, and freezers go to die. Most can be hauled, though refrigerators, freezers, and dehumidifiers need refrigerant handling and may carry an additional fee. If you've got an old oil tank, that's a separate specialty and you'll want a tank-removal company.

Carrying it out.

The hardest part of basement work isn't the volume, it's the stairs. Narrow turns, low headers, hand-rails that get in the way. Tell us about the stair setup when you book so we can plan the right approach. If something's going to need to come out through a bulkhead instead of the interior stairs, mention that too.

How to prepare.

You don't have to do much. If you can't face going down there to organize, leave it alone and the work gets done on site. If you do want to pre-sort, pull anything you're keeping into one corner or up to the main floor. Flag anything you want set aside before it goes (documents, photos, anything sentimental hiding in a box).

Common questions.

Can you handle narrow basement stairs?

Tell us about the stair setup when you book: narrow turns, low headers, hand-rails in the way, anything tight. The more we know before the visit, the better the crew size and approach can be planned around it.

What if there's mold or water damage?

Light water damage on furniture, boxes, and cardboard is generally fine to haul. Active mold, standing water, or sewage involvement is a remediation job that needs to happen first, before any cleanout crew should be working in there.

Can you remove an old water heater or washer?

Yes. Old water heaters, washers, dryers, and dehumidifiers come out of basements regularly. Refrigerators, freezers, and dehumidifiers contain refrigerant and may carry an additional disposal fee.

What about old oil tanks?

Oil tanks are a specialty. They need a dedicated tank-removal company that handles the pumping, cutting, and disposal. That isn't something we take on as part of a cleanout.

Does basement waste have to come up the interior stairs?

Not always. If a bulkhead is a better path for furniture or large items, that route can work. Mention it when you book so we can plan the right approach.
